Makam (מקם — ממשלה קצר מועד, short-term government) are discount debt instruments issued by the Bank of Israel (בנק ישראל), functioning as Israel's equivalent of US Treasury bills. They are the primary instrument through which the Bank of Israel conducts open-market operations (פעולות שוק פתוח) to m
