Abu Terminal is an educational trading simulator designed to build real behavioral discipline — not just market knowledge. It combines historical market data, adaptive coaching, and identity-driven progression to help you develop the habits that separate consistent traders from everyone else.
What we do
Most trading education is either theoretical — textbooks and courses that never connect to live decision-making — or predatory, selling signals and "guaranteed" systems to beginners who don't know better.
Abu Terminal is neither. It is a free, simulation-based training environment where you practice making real trading decisions against real historical market data. Every decision you make is tracked, analyzed, and reflected back to you through behavioral feedback — not just profit and loss.
The core loop is simple: Play a scenario, receive Feedback on your behavioral patterns (not just whether you made money), identify your Focus weakness, Replay to improve, and Return to unresolved challenges. This loop runs continuously, adapting to your evolving trader identity.
Who it's for
- Beginners who want to learn trading without risking real money, and who need honest feedback instead of hype.
- Intermediate traders who already understand markets but struggle with discipline, consistency, or emotional decision-making.
- Educators who want a hands-on simulation tool for their students — something more engaging than textbook exercises.
Abu Terminal is not for people looking for trading signals, copy-trading, or get-rich-quick schemes. If that is what you want, this is not the right tool for you.
What's inside
- Speed-Run — fast-paced historical trading scenarios across five decades of market data. Make buy/sell/hold decisions under time pressure and see how your choices compare to what actually happened.
- Arena — structured training modes including quiz challenges, STRAT pattern recognition, and campaign-based progression through specific market eras.
- Learn — educational articles covering risk management, trading psychology, market structure, order flow, and more. Plus 558 glossary terms, 209 strategy playbooks, and a curated wiki. Written for practitioners, not academics.
- Me — your trader profile, showing your evolving identity, skill ratings, behavioral patterns, strengths, and weaknesses over time.
Who's behind it
Abu Terminal is built and maintained by a solo developer based in Israel. There is no venture capital, no corporate board, and no pressure to monetize aggressively. The project exists because the developer believes trading education should be honest, accessible, and focused on behavioral growth rather than selling dreams.
The project started from a simple frustration: every "trading course" is either too theoretical (textbook patterns with no live decision pressure) or too predatory (signals you pay for, with no understanding transferred). Real markets reward decision-making under uncertainty, and the only way to build that skill is through reps. Abu Terminal exists to give people thousands of those reps without losing real money in the process.
Why "Abu"
"Abu" means "father" in Arabic — a word that carries connotations of guidance, wisdom, and steady presence. In the context of this project, Abu represents the kind of mentor every trader needs but few find: one who tells you the truth about your habits, even when it is uncomfortable, and who stays consistent in their guidance over time.
How we make money
Abu Terminal is free to use. The core simulation, all educational content, and the behavioral feedback system are available at no cost. We sustain the project through:
- Voluntary donations — cryptocurrency wallets (BTC, ETH, USDT) and Ko-fi for those who want to support the project.
- A potential Pro tier — advanced analytics and features that may be offered in the future, but the core experience will always remain free.
We will never sell your data, run intrusive advertising, or gate essential learning features behind a paywall.
What we are not
Abu Terminal is not a financial advisor. Nothing in this application constitutes financial advice, investment recommendations, or a solicitation to buy or sell any financial instrument. All scenarios use historical data for educational purposes only. Past performance does not indicate future results.
We do not manage money, execute real trades, or connect to brokerage accounts. Abu Terminal is a simulation — it exists purely for learning and self-improvement.
