These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Abu Terminal website at abu-terminal.com and the Abu Terminal application (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Nature of the Service
Abu Terminal is a game: a historical market simulator. It is not financial advice, an investment recommendation, a brokerage, a trading platform, or access to any real market. You play recorded market history with virtual money.
The Service is provided for entertainment and general interest. Abu Terminal also publishes written material about market history and market behaviour. That material is general information about how markets and people have behaved; it is not advice, it is not directed to your circumstances, and it is not a recommendation to take or avoid any position.
We make no representation or warranty that the Service, or anything published on it, will improve your trading, your understanding of markets, or any other outcome. Nothing here is a substitute for advice from a professional licensed in your jurisdiction.
What we do state about accuracy is deliberate and limited: where the Service shows a historical price it is drawn from a dataset we hold rather than generated for the game, and where we hold no price the Service says so rather than substituting one. Beyond that we do not warrant that any date, price, figure, sequence or description is accurate, complete or current; parts of the Service are simplified, dramatised or approximate because it is a game.
Mistakes and corrections. Our historical content, including accounts of real companies, real people and legal proceedings, is compiled in good faith from public records and reported facts, and we take care with it. Errors can still occur. If you believe something we published is wrong, unfair to you, or out of date, tell us at the address in Section 14 and we will review it promptly and correct, update or remove it. We are sorry for any mistake that reaches you.
No real money is at risk. Simulated profits and losses are not financial outcomes and do not indicate what would have happened, or what will happen, in real trading.
Release status. This is a restricted, experimental beta run by one person. It has not been through legal review, it is not offered as a finished international consumer service, and parts of it may be unavailable or withdrawn without notice. Where something depends on a question we have not resolved — market-data rights are the current example — the feature is switched off rather than shipped.
2. Eligibility
The Abu Terminal restricted beta is intended for people aged 18 or older. By creating an account or continuing past the age notice, you confirm that you are at least 18 and have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms. We may suspend or delete an account if we reasonably believe this requirement is not met.
3. Account registration
You may create an account using Google OAuth or a magic link sent to your email. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable law
- Attempt to interfere with, compromise, or disrupt the Service or its servers
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service
- Create automated scripts or bots to access the Service
- Impersonate another person or entity
- Use the Service to generate or distribute spam, malware, or harmful content
- Circumvent any access restrictions or security measures
5. Intellectual property
The material we created for the Abu Terminal Service — text we wrote, the design, the code, the user interface, the game algorithms, the educational content and the simulation logic — is the intellectual property of Abu Terminal and is protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
That claim stops where our authorship stops. Third-party market data (including historical price and chart data from Yahoo Finance and TradingView) and the databases it is drawn from, embedded provider content such as the TradingView chart widget, open-source software used under its own licence, and third-party names and trademarks all remain with their owners and are used under their own terms. Nothing here claims them.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our prior written consent.
6. User content
Any feedback, suggestions, or other content you submit through the Service may be used by us to improve the product without any obligation or compensation to you. You retain ownership of any original content you submit, but you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, modify, and display such content in connection with the Service.
7. Third-party services
The Service may integrate with or link to third-party services including Supabase, Google OAuth, Google AdSense, TradingView, Binance, and Vercel. Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of third-party services.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any content, data, or results provided through the Service.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ABU TERMINAL AND ITS DEVELOPER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $100 USD, WHICHEVER IS LESS.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Abu Terminal and its developer from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, for any reason, without prior notice. You may stop using the Service at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, though provisions that by their nature should survive (such as disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification) will remain in effect.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, except to the extent that mandatory law applicable to you provides otherwise.
If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms deprives you of mandatory protections or jurisdictional rights that you are entitled to under the law of your country or place of habitual residence and that cannot lawfully be waived by contract.
Subject to those mandatory rights, disputes may be brought before the competent courts of Israel. Nothing in these Terms requires a consumer to bring a claim exclusively in Israel where applicable law grants that consumer the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you via the Service.
