This page describes everything Abu Terminal stores in your browser. It is deliberately specific rather than generic — if something is listed here, it is actually used.

Abu Terminal sets no cookies of its own

The application itself does not write any cookies. Everything it needs to remember — your progress, your settings, your language, your sign-in session — is kept in your browser's local storage, on your own device. It is not transmitted anywhere unless you sign in, or explicitly export or sync your data.

Strictly necessary storage

The following is stored locally and cannot be switched off, because without it the application cannot work. None of it is used for tracking or advertising.

  • Progress and game state — your runs, scores, streaks, badges and campaign progress.
  • Preferences — theme, language, font scale, density, number and date format.
  • Sign-in session — if you have an account, an authentication token issued by our database provider is stored locally. It is not a cookie.
  • Your consent choice — which option you picked on the privacy banner, and the date you picked it. Recording this is what allows us to honour it.
  • Disclaimer acknowledgement — so the risk notice is not shown on every visit.

No product analytics

During the current public beta Abu Terminal uses no third-party product-analytics service. There is no analytics cookie to accept or decline, because there is no analytics. Nothing about how you play is sent to an analytics provider.

This is a change from earlier versions, which used PostHog behind a consent banner. That integration was removed along with the code that produced the events.

Third parties

  • TradingView — market charts are embedded from TradingView. Their embed may set its own cookies once it loads, governed by TradingView's own policy rather than ours.
  • Ko-fi — only reached if you click through to support the project. Nothing is set on our site by Ko-fi.
  • Supabase — our database and authentication provider. Your session is stored locally rather than in a cookie.

Advertising

Abu Terminal currently shows no advertising and sets no advertising cookies. If that ever changes, this page will be updated before any advertising code is enabled.

Clearing everything

In the app: Settings → Data & Privacy lets you export everything stored about you and clear it. In your browser: clearing site data for abu-terminal.com removes all local storage described above.
